NetGram IT Solutions LLP ("we", "us", or "our") develops and maintains Lal Diary. We are committed to absolute user privacy. This Privacy Policy details how your data is handled within our offline digital ledger application.

1. 100% Offline & Zero-Knowledge Architecture

Lal Diary is designed to be an entirely offline, on-device digital bahi khata:

• No Remote Servers: We do not operate cloud databases or external servers to store your financial records.
• Local Data Storage: All information—including contact names, phone numbers, transaction history (udhar/jama), amounts, notes, payment due dates, and your 4-digit security PIN—is stored exclusively on your physical device.
• No Data Monetization or Tracking: We do not track your financial habits, analyze your cashflow, or share, monetize, or sell your ledger records to any third party.

2. Device Permissions and How They Are Used

To provide core ledger features offline, Lal Diary may request the following permissions:

• Contacts (`READ_CONTACTS`): Optional. Allows you to easily select and import existing phone contacts when creating accounts for customers, friends, or family. Contact details remain strictly on your device and are never transmitted across the network.
• Storage / File Access: Required only when you explicitly choose to export your reports (as PDF, Excel, or CSV) or when generating and restoring local device backup files.
• Notifications & Exact Alarms: Used solely to trigger local, offline reminder alerts on your phone for upcoming or overdue payment dues without contacting external notification servers.

3. Security and PIN Protection

Lal Diary provides an optional 4-digit PIN lock to prevent unauthorized physical access to your records. This PIN is stored securely within your device's local encrypted storage. Because we have no access to your device, we cannot recover or reset a forgotten PIN.

4. Backups and User Data Control

• Local Backups: You have complete ownership and control over your ledger data. You can back up and export your records at any time using the built-in PDF, Excel, or CSV export tools.
• Data Deletion: You can permanently delete individual entries, contacts, or all application data by clearing app storage under your phone's system settings or by uninstalling the application.

Disclaimer for Lal Diary

1. Digital Record-Keeping Only (No Financial Transactions)

Lal Diary is an offline utility intended solely for personal record-keeping, informal credit tracking, and personal bookkeeping.

• Not a Financial Institution: Lal Diary is not a bank, non-banking financial company (NBFC), payment gateway, money lender, or licensed accounting firm.
• No Money Transfers: The app does not process real money, hold funds, or initiate banking/UPI transactions. All entries recorded in the app represent informal manual entries inputted by the user.

2. User Responsibility for Data and Backups

Because Lal Diary does not sync data to a cloud server, you are solely responsible for preserving and backing up your financial records. NetGram IT Solutions LLP is not responsible or liable for any lost, missing, or corrupted data resulting from hardware failure, operating system updates, accidental deletion, lost PINs, or device theft. We strongly advise users to regularly export and save backup files externally.

3. "As Is" Warranty Limitation

The application and generated calculations are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While our calculations are designed to be accurate, users must independently verify ledger balances, receivable/payable amounts, and settlement figures with their counterparties.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Lal Diary, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

2. License to Use

NetGram IT Solutions LLP grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal or informal business ledger tracking on your personal mobile device.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All visual interfaces, graphics, icons, logos, layout structures, and underlying software code of Lal Diary are the proprietary intellectual property of NetGram IT Solutions LLP. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, duplicate, distribute, or create derivative works from the application.

4. Lawful Record Keeping

You agree to use Lal Diary solely for lawful purposes. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your record-keeping practices comply with local tax, debt collection, and financial accounting laws in your jurisdiction.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NetGram IT Solutions LLP shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of financial records, business interruption, or disputes arising between you and third parties regarding recorded balances.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal action or dispute arising from the use of this application shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.
